Paperlily is the brainchild of Sarah Clifton and Sarah Fong who wanted to receive letters again: funny, lovely and kind letters written on fabulously beautiful stationery that would be treasured forever.

When they first met, it seemed an unlikely pairing: Pony Club met My Little Pony; Brora met Gucci; charity met City. However, a shared fondness for Dolly Parton, fizzy Haribo and long lunches was enough to seal it.

The lunches shrank and the ideas grew.

They decided that they wanted their stationery to be beautiful inside and out. This is why Paperlily only use sustainable materials and the very finest techniques such as engraving, embossing and silk screening. It is also why Paperlily is pledging 5% of profits to The Woodland Trust.

Paperlily also believes in choice. After all, you wouldn’t correspond with your bank manager in the same way as your beloved (although respective overdrafts have made it worth contemplating). Paperlily is proud of all their collections: classic, contemporary, couture. For contemporary and couture, Paperlily has exercised some big sister coercion to secure the creative talents of Vicki Fong (first class from Brighton, MA from Royal College). Vicki has produced a series of charming designs which, in exactly the same way as the classic range, are complemented with the time-honoured techniques of our engravers.

The result is Paperlily.
